Circa Survive - Juturna

Anthony Green is pretty much a brilliant singer-songwriter who has many side-projects/projects, but if one were to narrow down his masterpiece, Juturna would probably be it (at least in my opinion). Musical genres are smashed together on this album, from experimental to post-hardcore and the dissonance between voice, riff, and beat regins supreme, which lends itself to more of a mathcore feel that pushes the progressive atmosphere through each track. The cacophony by itself is enough to keep you listening, with its rises and falls that seem to keep in time with the breath of the album, and Green's vocals are there to make sure that you won't stop.
